When You Arrive To Sunrise House

    1. When you arrive, a search of your belongings is conducted to ensure you are not carrying any form of contraband or illegal items. This is for the safety of everyone in the shelter.

    1. A Youth Support Worker will review the shelter guidelines with you and complete the intake. The focus then becomes determining what needs to happen to change your current situation – this is done through an Action Plan that you may complete on your own or with a Worker.

  1. Length of stay will vary slightly depending on the situation that has brought you in. Our goal is to work with you on finding a solution – this may include mediating with your family or if this is not a possibility, we will connect you with the agency that will best help with your needs. Sunrise House is not the permanent solution, but instead a first step in finding one.
